​Welcome to the Newport Reservoirs Fly Fishing Association (NRFFA), the premier destination for fly fishing enthusiasts in South Wales.

Situated just outside Newport, we manage the picturesque Ynys-y-fro Reservoirs, comprising two well-established lakes of 16 and 9 acres, respectively. Our reservoirs are regularly stocked with a variety of trout species, including rainbow, brown, sparctic, and tiger trout.

​

​We provide an opportunity for anglers to enhance their skills and share experiences. Our facilities include two quality boats available on the lower reservoir for members and their guests. The reservoirs boast prolific fly life, with an abundance of buzzers, sedges, silverhorns, damsels, and cranefly, making nymph and dry fly fishing particularly productive throughout the season.

NRFFA is committed to fostering the next generation of anglers. We actively promote junior fly fishing through tailored day tickets designed to introduce young enthusiasts to the sport in a safe environment.
